FATS
DOMINO
POSTED June, 2009

Fats has not yet moved back into his buildings in the lower ninth ward.
According to a neighbor, who had a recent conversation with him, he
may decide to remain where he is on the west bank (across the
Mississippi River from New Orleans).  Sadly, his wife passed on in 2008.
He celebrated his 83rd this past February.
9/20/08  Earl Palmer dies in L.A.
He was, perhaps, the greatest session drummer of all time.  Born in New Orleans in
1924.  He recorded with many of the greats of Rock and Roll, including Fats Domino.
Palmer was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
"Smokey" Johnson played drums for Fat's for over twenty years.
He is now living in his new home in the Musician's Village.  Johnson
also played with New Orleans natives Professor Longhair (recorded
"Big Chief") and Dr. John.
